Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting Online

Dear friends,

Hopefully you received the Zoom meeting invite for prayer meeting tonight at 6:30pm.

Please email Christie with prayer requests before 3pm Wednesday.  She will compile and send out for everyone to use during the Zoom prayer meeting.  I think sending in the prayer requests before hand will enable the time on Zoom to go more smoothly.  It will also provide a prayer guide for those who are not able to join us.

So, the format for the prayer meeting will be as follows: I will give a brief devotional. Then we will open it up for a time of corporate prayer, when anyone who would like to pray can pray what is on the prayer list (that Christie will send out) or pray for whatever else might be on your heart.  Then, after our time of corporate prayer, we will close with the doxology.

I am looking forward to praying with you via Zoom tonight at 6:30pm, Lord willing!!!

Yours as ever,

Mantle

Online Giving is Now Available

Dear church family,

One of the ways that we as a redeemed and blessed people worship our Triune God is through the giving of our tithes and offerings. We do so in thankful response to God’s generous grace towards us: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. . . . Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 8:9, 9:7)

As we continue to practice “social distancing” and worship the Lord remotely, we want to provide you with several ways to continue to worship the Lord, support all the ministries of BPC and our missionaries, and help those in need through your tithes and offerings.

1) ONLINE
Go to our the new giving page on our church website: https://www.ballantynepres.com/giving and follow the payment links. If you wish you may create an account to save your bank or card info, set up recurring payments, and view your donation history. You will also have the option of enabling the text-to-pay feature.
or
Go directly to the Church Center website: https://ballantynepres.churchcenter.com/giving which will take you to the same payment portal.

2) MOBILE APP for Apple and Android
To download the “Church Center” app to your:
– Apple device, click here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/my-church-center/id1357742931?ign-mpt=uo%3D4&ls=1

We think you will find the software very convenient and easy to use. If you need further instructions, you may find the following video helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oqxqUbWiQE

Of course, you are still welcome to send paper checks to the church or use BillPay on your bank’s website. We will be depositing checks on a weekly basis. If you have any questions, you may contact our treasurer at treasurer@ballantynepres.com

Giving, like every aspect of the life of the church, is a team effort. As we all continue to trust the Lord, work together, and give with hearts of grateful praise, He will, amazingly, provide “more than enough for doing the work the Lord has called us to do.” (Exodus 36:5)

May the Lord continue to make his nearness and love known to you.

Yours in Christ,

Mantle

Cancellations Through March 31

Dear BPC flock,

In accordance with the guidelines released by the White House yesterday, all of our church gatherings will be suspended until March 31st.

Please email Christie christie@ballantynepres.com with any specific prayer requests or praises that you would like the church family to be praying for by noon on Wednesday, and she will send those out on Wednesday afternoon.  I encourage you, as your schedule allows, to pause and pray for those requests between 6:30 and 7:30 Wednesday evening, and again at noon on Friday.  In this way we can pray ‘corporately’ remotely!

On Sunday, we plan to live-stream our 11am service, and we will send you more details about how to access that later this week, Lord willing.

Let us continue trust the Lord, check on the elderly folks and others in our congregation and community (via phone, email, or text) who may have needs, exercise wisdom and patience, and pray that in all things the Lord will be glorified.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)

In Christ’s love,

Mantle
